Rosie's Boutique creates fair, living-wage jobs for mothers in Haiti so they can keep their families together and send their children to school.

The story

Rosie's Boutique was started by Touch of Hope, a nonprofit founded in 2011 in the village of Simonette, Haiti, and now led by Kayla and Webert Raymond. A sister shop opened in Rock Rapids, Iowa, in 2016.

The cards are handstitched by women who have completed Touch of Hope's Starfish Program, which supports families at risk of being separated with parenting classes and skills training. In 2019, 26 women were making the cards.

Rosie's says its artisans earn a fair wage that lets them send their children to school and cover everyday needs. It joined the Fair Trade Federation in 2025.
