Austin Psych Fest was renamed LEVITATION in honor of Austin’s psychedelic rock pioneers The 13th Floor Elevators, who reunited and performed at LEVITATION 2015 for the band’s 50th anniversary. Over the past decade, in addition to the flagship event in Austin, the group has curated LEVITATION events in France, Chicago and Vancouver, along with ongoing events in Austin and special events in Europe and Latin America, plus a huge, diverse annual LEVITATION showcase at SXSW.
