Sourcing Sustainably The palo santo (Latin name, Bursera Graveolens) in this formulation is wildcrafted in Ecuador and sustainably harvested solely from fallen trees and branches. We source specifically from a non-endangered species, not to be confused with Bulnesia Sarmientoi. Palo santo essential oil is extracted using vapor distillation, without the use of dangerous chemicals or solvents. This ensures a safe, eco-conscious approach without harming the land or destroying a single tree. We partner with a distributor who keeps a close relationship and connection to the family and with the local communities in Ecuador. They are committed to reforestation and giving back to the planet. Since 2008, our partner has planted over 30,000 trees back into the area and continues to support farmworkers with a fair wage.
