This wooden star is handcrafted by skilled carpenters at our own workshop in the city of Jashore, Bangladesh. It is a good way of utilizing waste material from other production. We use sustainably sourced local wood called Gamari, which is typically grown in yards and by roadsides, and sold when a family needs an extra source of income. Through good working conditions and fair wages, our goal is to contribute to economic empowerment for the carpenters and their families.
