The Cape Henry Lighthouse is a lighthouse at Cape Henry, the landform marking the southern entrance to Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. The location has long been important for the large amount of ocean-going shipping traffic for the harbors, its rivers, and shipping headed to ports on the bay. The original lighthouse was the first authorized by the U.S. government, dating from 1792. Traditionally Designed Heirloom Quality Ornaments. Features a 5 Inch Tall Lighthouse. Hand crafted in age-old tradition using techniques that originated in the 1800's Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas. Ornaments are all hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations Each Ornament is beautifully gift boxed with an additional secure carton for extra protection.
