Mvua is a hammered, elongated oval brass hoop, the shape stretched to a rectangle-like loop, the hammered surface giving texture to the simple elongated form. Also called an oblong hoop earring or long oval drop, it hangs low and moves with the wearer. Brass poured into a sand mold, the way metalworkers have done it for thousands of years, each piece carries the trace of that process.
