Haitian Metal Art Nativity in the Stable — Handmade

Celebrate the Christmas season with this whimsical Haitian metal nativity wall art by artist Jean Claude Pierre. Handcrafted from recycled steel oil drums, this stunning piece captures the warmth and creativity of Haiti’s renowned artisans.

In this joyful interpretation of the nativity scene, the Holy Family is joined by a giraffe, gazelle, and cow — delightful and unexpected animals that add a sense of wonder and charm. Though these creatures aren’t native to Haiti, their inclusion reflects the artist’s playful imagination and message of harmony among all living things.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, and polished, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind work of art. Designed to hang on a wall, this sculpture can also be displayed by leaning it against a wall on a mantel, console, or shelf.
