A hollow cube occupies the centre of the composition — its chartreuse and acid-yellow planes wrapping around an open face that reveals a burgundy interior, warm orange visible within like a light source contained. The background divides cleanly behind it: pale steel blue on the left, terracotta on the right, the floor shifting from olive shadow to cream. A cast shadow falls left, dark olive against the yellow-green ground. The form is simultaneously solid and open, architectural in its precision — a container that shows you exactly what it holds. Part of the Form and Structure series — an ongoing exploration of volume, shadow and color relationships through the language of geometric abstraction.
