Our Ayele throw blanket is crafted with ethiopian cotton from Sabahar's workshop in Addis Ababa. This luxurious blanket is perfect for cozy nights! They are made from pure Ethiopian cotton. You can wash them in a washing machine and tumble dry them. 

The blanket is named after one of Sabahar’s weavers, Ayele. He was working on other blankets with the herringbone design and got curious what they would look like if the warp colors were changed to make a checkered pattern. He tried many different color ways until we all settled on the stone- as it goes easily in so many different spaces. 

When you buy one of the Ayele blankets you can even picture the person who made it for you. That doesn’t happen very often in our world these days.
