Greener makes everyday clothing and bags from organic and recycled materials, and gives part of its profits to restoring forests and clearing plastic from the sea.

The story

Mónica Gilarranz and Fernando Pérez founded Greener, a clothing and accessories brand based in Spain.

Greener uses GOTS-certified organic cotton grown in India, recycled cotton, and recycled polyester made from discarded packaging. Its range on The Labour Movement focuses on backpacks and hip bags.

GOTS certifies organic textiles through every processing stage and includes social criteria based on ILO conventions, but it isn't a fair trade label. The Labour Movement vetted Greener against our fair trade standards before listing it, and we review it every year. Greener also gives 10% of its profits to reforesting Spanish forests and collecting plastic from the sea.
